Just imagine this very realistic scenario:

Your husband is supposed to be home from work at 5:00 pm for dinner.

It’s now 5:30 pm.  You try to call his cell phone and get no answer.

You’re getting concerned.

It’s now 5:45 pm.  You try to call the office to see if he’s still there.  He’s not.

Now it’s 6:00 pm.  You call his parents to see if they’ve heard from him.  They haven’t.

Now you’re really worried.

At 7:00pm you see the flashing lights coming from a police car sitting in front of your house.

You hear a knock at the door.  Your heart drops.

You answer your door to see a state trooper there.  He speaks, “Mrs. Jones, I hate to be the one to tell you this, but there’s been an accident and John won’t be coming home.”
